Position Summary:

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Payroll/HR Administrator with experience in payroll processing and human resources. This role will manage payroll processing and support day-to-day human resources activities to ensure smooth business operations. The ideal candidate is organized, can maintain confidentiality, and capable of balancing multiple responsibilities across payroll functions and HR.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Duties:

  • Maintain employee time clock setup and training
  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax regulations and labor laws
  • Handle payroll deductions, benefits contributions and garnishments
  • Prepare payroll reports and ensure timely filing of payroll taxes
  • Address employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies

Human Resources (HR) Duties:

  • Administer employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support employee relations efforts, helping address employee concerns and assist in conflict resolution with support of senior HR consultant
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate benefits administration - open enrollment, COBRA, 401K and employee leave (FMLA)
  • Support training, development, and performance management processes
  • Assist with routine HR reporting and metrics (turnover, headcount, diversity, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in HR, benefit administration platforms, payroll, and/or accounting roles
  • Knowledge of Louisiana employment laws and payroll regulations
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll software, and accounting tools
  • Experience with iSolved People Cloud/ATS and CS Accounting payroll preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
