The bank is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Payroll & Cross-Border Tax Analyst to join their Global Payroll Services team. This role focuses on supporting payroll processing, cross-border administration, and taxation issues while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and global regulations. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience in customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to Cross-Border Employee Tax (CBET) requests via the ServiceNow ticketing system from case creation to closure, ensuring completeness and proper documentation.
- Manage CBET inquiries via a shared mailbox and provide prompt, clear communication to vendors, employees, and global partners.
- Validate and update employee data as necessary.
- Analyze payroll data using advanced Excel features such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Handle critical and time-sensitive payroll issues to ensure compliance.
- Support special projects, including trailing liabilities related to supplemental compensation and split tax allocations.
- Interpret and apply statutory rules, compliance regulations, and company policy to ensure accurate payroll.
- Analyze complex payroll calculations and implement compliant solutions.
- Participate in risk assessment, ensuring decisions align with compliance and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2–3 years of relevant payroll, taxation, or cross-border experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- ServiceNow experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and cultures.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
