Job Description :

We are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Payroll Analyst with expertise in prevailing wage and union payroll. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing payroll activities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting our employees. Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing:
  • Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees, including prevailing wage and union payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Manage and process wage garnishments, deductions, and benefits.
  • Prevailing Wage Compliance:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of prevailing wage laws and regulations.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and payment of prevailing wages for applicable projects.
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as required.
  • Union Payroll Management:
  • Administer union payroll in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Calculate and process union dues, benefits, and other withholdings.
  • Liaise with union representatives to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
  • Perform regular payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation.
  • Employee Support:
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
Requirements Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on prevailing wage and union payroll.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
  • Experience with certified payroll reporting and union payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll systems.
Salary Description $80,000-$85,000
