Payroll Administrator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7-4PM or 8-5PM | Full-time, On-site

Industry: Construction

Compensation: 34.00 - 37.00/hour

A small, well-established services company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support day-to-day payroll and HR support to the main office. This is a pivotal role focused on payroll processing and HR administrative support with a fun twist to the role to include employee event planning and company newletter.

This team values team work, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will thrive in tight knit environment, where everyone pitches in to help and bring confidence in managing time-sensitive processes for the HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and process weekly timecards from payroll system.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including W-4s, I-9s, and documentation verification
  • Handle garnishments, employee deductions, and related updates
  • Maintain up-to-date and compliant employee files, statuses, and leaves detail.
  • Assist with Human Resources Generalist with payroll related items, and questions.
  • Employee Loan payments
  • Open Enrollement support
  • Direct Deposit / Autopayment setup
  • Administer employee pre-employee tests, backgrounds and drigs screens.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in payroll and administrative functions, ideally in ag , construction or similar industries
  • Familiarity with ADP, or Ultipro software ideal
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to process accuracy
  • Capable of independent work with minimal supervision
  • Must pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening
