Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk - Sampson Regional Medical Center : Job Details

_*Sampson Regional Medical Center*_ is hiring a Payroll and Accounts Payable Clerk to join the join the Accounting team!Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.*Description:*This position is split between accounts payable and payroll. The primary duties of this position are to process accounts payable and payroll. For accounts payable, this position will match purchase orders and receivers to invoices and act as liaison between the purchasing department and accounts payable. Will enter and process invoices into Meditech and perform other accounts payable tasks in the absence of the other A/P clerk. For payroll, this position will process and post payroll during the payroll week. Will be responsible for the processing of payroll and reviewing of payroll data in ADP as well as check and direct deposit preparation. Will maintain employee master files in Meditech. Will calculate payroll deductions and perform reconciliations, verify and reconcile balances between computer systems, and other tasks as needed. Will also be required to perform daily/monthly banking transaction reconciliations for cafeteria point of sales.*Requirements:** Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.* One year of accounts payable experience required* Experience in payroll and healthcare environment preferred.* Must be proficient with computer, keyboard, and calculator skills* Experience in Microsoft Office, ADP, and Meditech preferred*Hours:*Days and hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
