Job Title: Payments Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (Technical) Location: Remote (Open to U.S. candidates) Duration: 6+ months, with the potential for extension Experience Required: 15+ years Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Conduent on the implementation of EMV Chip Cards for a Government Payment Program.
- Serve as a senior technical expert in Hardware Security Module (HSM) solutions, including both hardware and software aspects.
- Provide expertise in payment security protocols, with a focus on the secure transaction environment necessary for chip card functionality.
Technical Requirements:
- HSM FutureX Hardware: Proficiency in configuring and managing FutureX hardware security modules, with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining HSM functionality.
- EMV Cryptogram Validation: In-depth knowledge of EMV standards, cryptographic protocols, and validation of EMV cryptograms using HSMs within payment transaction workflows.
- EMV Key Management: Expertise in loading and managing EMV keys within HSMs, with familiarity in key lifecycle management best practices.
- HSM Setup in PCI and Non-PCI Environments: Experience configuring HSMs for PCI DSS compliance, and managing secure operations in both PCI and non-PCI environments.
- PIN Encryption: Proficiency in implementing and managing PIN encryption solutions with HSM technology, and knowledge of various PIN encryption standards.
- Financial Institution Context: Background in payment card issuing processes, especially transitioning from mag-stripe to EMV cards, with experience in financial institutions.
- Java Development/Coding: Proficient in Java programming, particularly with jPOS library for building and managing payment transaction systems connected to HSMs.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in payments technology, with specific expertise in EMV Chip Cards and HSM implementation.
- Experience with Client, FIS, or similar environments preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and execute complex payment system projects.
