A Paving Crew Laborer performs general labor tasks on a paving crew, assisting with installation, repair, and maintenance of asphalt surfaces. This role involves physical labor, operating hand and power tools, and working under the supervision of a foreman. Responsibilities: Assisting with tasks like setting up forms, aligning and blocking, and preparing the area for paving. Shoveling, raking, and spreading asphalt and other materials. Using hand and power tools for tasks like raking, jackhammering, and other mechanical work. May operate basic construction equipment like tandem trucks or water trucks, as well as paving equipment. Performing physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment. Ensuring the work area is clean and safe at the end of the day, including cleaning the paver.
