Paving Construction Estimator – Asphalt Roadway Contractor (East Atlanta, GA)

What You'll Do:

• Prepare accurate estimates for asphalt paving, concrete, grading, and related roadway projects
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and construction documents to define project scope
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess job conditions
• Coordinate pricing and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
• Develop pre- and post-construction schedules based on project information
• Support project managers post-award with change orders and extra work estimates
• Work independently and as part of the estimating and project management teams

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years estimating experience focused on asphalt paving, concrete, grading, or roadway projects
• Familiarity with GDOT specs and standards preferred
• Proficient with Excel, AutoCAD, HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar tools
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to travel for site visits and meetings; physically capable of lifting 40 lbs and standing/walking as needed
• Flexible to work nights or weekends when project demands require
