Patient Transport Driver - ENCOMPASS HEALTH : Job Details

Job Description:

The Patient Transport Driver is responsible for assisting and accompanying patients during transfers to and from the facility using a facility van, as well as performing minor maintenance on the van. This role involves providing direct patient care to individuals across different age groups. The ideal candidate will have previous transportation experience and possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle to be driven.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle class
• CPR and First Aid Training
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Previous transportation experience required
• Must be 25 years of age

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move objects weighing at least 30 pounds
• Clear visual acuity and speech recognition

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently
• Detail-oriented with strong decision-making abilities

Environmental Conditions:

• Indoor and occasional outdoor exposure
• Potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required
• Handicapped accessible
