Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound calls, effectively identifying needs and providing resolution in a single call.
- Report adverse events in compliance with required deadlines.
- Create and accurately complete referrals and applications while staying informed on policy and procedural changes.
- Investigate and resolve inquiries and concerns from patients and physicians promptly.
- Input detailed information into proprietary software while engaging with callers.
- Conduct outbound follow-up and confirmation calls to patients.
- Provide exemplary customer support and guidance throughout the process.
- Collaborate with patient referral sources to process new applications efficiently.
- Manage patient accounts from initial contact until approval or denial.
- Effectively prioritize multiple tasks while working with a sense of urgency.
- Ensure a high-quality, empathetic experience for patients by effectively managing conversations and educating callers about procedures and strategies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with call center practices and procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies and guidelines is preferred.
- Understanding of Diagnostic Medical Expense and Medicare Administrative Contractor practices is preferred.
- Awareness of medical, supplemental, and pharmacy insurance benefit practices is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills to engage with patients, caregivers, and providers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, showing flexibility, persistence, creativity, empathy, and trust.
- Robust computer literacy, including data entry and proficiency in MS Office programs.

- Possess in-depth knowledge in relevant technical or specialty areas.
- Utilize advanced skills to independently resolve complex issues.
- Adjust processes as needed to effectively address situations.
- Work independently within established procedures, with general guidance on new tasks.
- Provide guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members as necessary.
Training and Work Schedules:
- Initial training will occur from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, with mandatory on-camera attendance required.
- This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with expected flexibility for various shift schedules, operational Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM CST.
Remote Work Details:
- This position is fully remote. A dedicated, quiet, private work environment with access to high-speed internet is required. We provide the necessary computer equipment.
- Candidates are responsible for maintaining a secure, high-speed broadband internet connection (DSL, cable, or fiber). Dial-up, satellite, Wi-Fi, or cellular connections are not acceptable.
- Internet requirements include a download speed of 15 Mbps, an upload speed of 5 Mbps, and a ping rate of no more than 30 ms.
- Direct connection to the router is mandatory, along with a surge protector that includes Network Line Protection for company-issued equipment.
Anticipated hourly pay range: $21.50 - $30.65
