Patient Services Representative - LifePoint Health : Job Details

The Patient Services Representative facilitates the patient referral process and obtains appropriate pre-certifications as requested by the provider(s). Responsible for greeting patients; check-in, check-out, scheduling and managing telephones and messages. Collects and posts co-pays, deductibles and past due patient balances at the time of service. Qualifications and requirements Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) 2 years Medical Office experience preferred. Experience with Medical Referrals preferred.
