Scheduled Weekly Hours:40 Work Shift: Days/ Evenings (United States of America)Toledo, OH - General Summary:Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs all clerical business functions in a medical office, clinic or ambulatory setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High school graduate or G. E. D required. Medical Terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding experience required. Computer/typing skills of at least 40 wpm. Medical secretary, medical assistant program graduate or medical office experience (minimum of one year) required. Legible handwriting. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to interact effectively with patients and families, physicians and office staff. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the patient care situation. Working Conditions:Work is in a patient care environment. May experience mental strain due to fast paced environment and directions from multiple sources.
