Patient Services Coordinator

Join our dynamic team as a Patient Services Coordinator, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient experiences at California Retina Consultants. You will be the friendly face that helps patients navigate their appointments, handle referrals, manage insurance authorizations, and effectively address incoming calls. Your contributions will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care!

Your Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and visitors warmly to make them feel welcome
• Handle incoming calls and connect them with the appropriate departments or staff members
• Triage patient calls to assess scheduling needs efficiently
• Gather complete and accurate insurance information from patients
• Optimize appointment scheduling, ensuring patient satisfaction and efficient use of provider time and treatment rooms
• Assist with managing patient referrals, both incoming and outgoing
• Maintain a good understanding of all providers within our practice to fill schedules according to business needs
• Offer comfort to patients by addressing their concerns and answering questions
• Ensure easy access to treatment information by accurately filing and retrieving patient records
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
• Communicate regularly with clinical and billing staff via chat, phone, and email
• Uphold patient confidentiality and rights, protecting their personal and financial information
• Contribute to the team by helping achieve related results as needed

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, who is committed to providing top-notch care for our patients. Ideal candidates will possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual capabilities (preferred)
• Some prior experience in a front office setting (preferred)
• A willingness to work flexible shifts to accommodate patient needs (required)
