Location: 2455 SW State Street, Ankeny, IA 50023

Position Type: Full Time

Schedule: Weekdays, SHIFTS BETWEEN 7-6

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00/hour - based on experience

As a patient service specialist, you'll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
  • Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
  • Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
  • Regular communication with parties such as therapists, insurance companies, attorney offices, translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
Qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and patients
  • Ability to multi-task phone, computer, and in-person interactions
  • Ability to use computer scheduling software (with appropriate training)
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
  • Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) and mouse use throughout a work day/shift
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
  • Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
