We are seeking to fill a full-time Patient Service Representative position. Must have at least 1 year of prior medical front office (PSR) experience. Responsibilities encompass a range of administrative and patient-facing tasks, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, taking co-pays, triaging calls, and directing messages to the correct department and staff. Due to the high volume of families with children for this clinic, pediatric experience is a plus. This position is Tuesday through Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm. DOE $18-22
- Scheduling and Appointment Management:
- Scheduling appointments for patients, including follow-ups and diagnostic tests.
- Managing patient waitlists and ensuring timely appointments.
- Providing appointment reminders to patients and their families.
- Patient Registration and Information Management:
- Verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information.
- Completing necessary registration forms and ensuring accuracy.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and medical histories.
- Billing and Insurance Processing:
- Verifying insurance eligibility and processing claims.
- Collecting patient co-pays and deductibles.
- Assisting patients with understanding their financial responsibilities.
- Patient Relations and Communication:
- Greet and assist patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answering patient questions and concerns, both in person and over the phone.
- Providing information about clinic services, procedures, and policies.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintaining a clean and organized waiting area.
- Filing and retrieving medical records.
- Managing office supplies and equipment.
- Following HIPAA guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.
