Patient Scheduler - Providence Health & Services : Job Details

Under the direction of the Patient Access/ Central Scheduling Coordinator & Manager, Patient Access/ Central Scheduling Representative- Level II, verifies orders, schedules, and registers, verifies insurance coverage and benefits, creates estimates, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due to the facility; Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers. Required Qualifications: 2 years general office experience with public interaction. Preferred Qualifications: Courses in medical terminology. Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience.
