Patient Safety Specialist - Novant Health : Job Details

Coordinates and facilitates the investigation, review and disposition of patient safety events though interviews, medical record and literature reviews and utilization of appropriate investigative tools. Utilizes high level organizational skills to manage projects. Provides support of patient safety processes and outcomes to assist clinical and organizational stakeholders with information to improve patient safety. Works, in partnership, with clinical stakeholders Aggregates and analyzes data Identifies opportunities to improve patient safety; identifies trends and patterns related to near miss and actual events; develops conclusions and makes recommendations through data presentations to appropriate committees and/or teams. Qualifications Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. In a healthcare/clinical field, preferred. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the delivery of clinical care in nursing or allied health, required.
