A Patient Safety Observer (Sitter) at Erlanger Health System is responsible for sitting with patients to provide basic care, continuous observation of patients, and documentation of behavior. The sitter works with clinical staff to provide a safe environment for the patient. Education:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Experience:Required: Preferred: Patient care or other healthcare experience, Caretaker or prior Sitting experience. Good reading, writing and communication skills. Position Requirement(s): License/ Certification/ Registration. Required: BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.
