IU Health | Patient Relations Consultant

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Schedule: Monday-Friday with a hybrid and on call schedule

The Patient Relations Consultant handles patient and family concerns regarding care, coordinating resolutions with relevant teams and leaders. They document complaints per standards, manage grievances in compliance with regulations, and facilitate communication channels for patient feedback. Collaborating with risk management, leadership, and patient experience teams, they ensure all issues are addressed in line with IU Health values and regulatory requirements.

• Handle patient and family concerns regarding care, coordinate resolutions with relevant teams and leaders, document complaints per standards, manage grievances in compliance with regulations, and facilitate communication channels for patient feedback. Collaborate with risk management, leadership, and patient experience teams to ensure issues are addressed in line with IU Health values and regulatory requirements.

• Requires a Bachelors degree or completion within 12 months.
• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Ability to align process management with policies and federal, state, or regulatory requirements.
• Experience involving extensive patient/public contact and crisis resolution.
