Job Description Summary:

Hiring range From $20

The Specialist, Patient Registration, is responsible for facilitating new patients' transition to Option Care Health services, delivering a consistent onboarding experience where patients and referral partners feel that Option Care Health makes it easy to transition care. The Specialist works with Sales to prepare patients for OCH services and manages all aspects of the patient's transition to home/AIS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engages with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
  • Creates, communicates, and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
  • Secures patient's upfront payment, assisting patients in finding avenues for payment, including financial assistance programs.
  • Supports activities to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management, following up on missing paperwork.
  • Assists Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum of two years of related experience is required.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be detail-oriented with a high quality focus.

High level of customer service skills required.

Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and collaborate across teams in sales and operations.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests

Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Salary range is $16.69-$27.82, determined by education, experience, skills, and market data.
