Job Title:Patient Registration RepAddress:Clinton Township, MichiganSchedule:7 days a week, 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Full TimeJob DescriptionUnder general supervision, follows standard operating procedures and protocols for all bedside patient registration activities including patient reception, face-to-face check in, preregistration, confirmation of insurance eligibility and cash collections.Performs new patient registration; updates registration and insurance information; responds to inquiries from all callers/customers.Advocates on the caller/customer behalf to ensure their needs are met.Acts as a welcoming front door for all callers/customers, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs, while providing efficient, effective customer relationship management.Register patients in the Emergency Room.Manage the arrival desk and perform quick registration.Apply armbands and direct patients to the lobby.Conduct bedside registration using mobile carts.Frequently visit patient rooms for registration tasks.Complete inpatient unit registrations.Rotate between different registration roles (e.g., bedside, arrival desk, etc.).Critical InformationOne (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person and in writing with patients, visitors and clinical/non-clinical staff.Must be willing to be on your feet for long periods and able to instruct others.Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.Education/Licenses NeededRequired Education: High School Diploma.Preferred Education: N/ARequired Certification & Licensure: N/APreferred Certification & Licensure: N/ABenefits:Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.A 401(k) with a company match is available to full-time employees after 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.This is an AI-Formatted job description; therefore, this does not remove human decision-making.
