Patient Registrar - Shriners Hospitals for Children : Job Details

Works collaboratively with the Registration and Outpatient Services in maintaining and adjusting clinic appointments in accordance with clinic templates and physician schedules. Employee will demonstrate and execute accurate and timely data management relative to SHC operating system. Schedules or reschedules clinic appointments. Ensures outpatients scheduled for visits are registered in the EMR - Sends written notifications of regularly scheduled appointments to patients and families. Orients all new patients and families to the clinic. This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Education. High School/ GED required Experience. Some experience in scheduling, registration and insurance verification required. Clinical experience with knowledge in medical procedures, terminology and documentation preferred.
