The patient processing specialist (PPS) functions in a high volume, fast-paced environment. The clerk provides courteous and efficient service to patients during the registration process and physician offices during the scheduling process. Concise communication skills and excellent customer service are a must in this position. The clerk should be a driven, self-motivated individual who is able to move between tasks quickly, making the most of their time. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience Previous customer service and computer experience Required Registration/ License/ Certification BLS within 90 days of DOH/ Transfer Preferred Education Preferred Experience 1 to 2 years Healthcare/ Hospital experience.
