Job Description :

We are searching for a highly organized, empathetic, and attentive Patient Engagement Coordinator to join our team and serve as a crucial link between our practice and our patients.

In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for patients beginning their journey through our new patient process. You will be responsible for patient outreach, answering questions, and assisting in scheduling consultations. In addition, the Patient Engagement Coordinator will work with the Front Desk Manager to assist with any additional front-of-house operational tasks including answering phone calls, inputting patient data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), filing, and other administrative duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate has exceptional communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to manage a high volume of outreach with professionalism and care.

Job Description:

  • Managing the logistics of the new patient process to ensure patients have a smooth on boarding process, playing a key role in creating a positive patient experience
  • Serve as a key resource for new patients on boarding information including liaising with patients, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, and case managers via phone and email to coordinate patient intake and registration
  • Support the Executive Director on website development and other specialized projects.
  • Oversee the processing of medical records and chart preparation including physical charts as well as updating the Electronic Medical Records as necessary
  • Assist with pre-op and hospital dentistry patient paperwork prior to surgery dates in a timely manner
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients and external partners
  • Meeting and greeting patients as they enter the office to check them in
  • Answer phone calls daily, route messages, and respond to inquiries promptly and courteously
  • Assisting with front desk operations and providing general administrative support to ensure smooth practice operations
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Support with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and faxing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills are essential
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Project management software skills experience
  • Prior patient service-related work experience is a plus
  • Spanish speaking is a plus
