Salary Range: $15.00 - $22.50

Department Overview

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in our Women's Health Clinic, you'll play a vital role in providing essential patient care services and supporting various activities in an ambulatory setting. Under the direct supervision of licensed clinical professionals, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing basic patient care tasks such as taking height, weight, blood pressure, and conducting vision screenings.
  • Assisting with drug screens and point-of-care urinalysis.
  • Handling reception and clerical duties.
  • Preparing treatment areas and cleaning medical equipment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of patient care areas and treatment rooms.
  • Monitoring medical supply inventory and reordering as necessary.
  • Utilizing patient registries to identify opportunities for improved care delivery.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, independent, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, able to thrive amidst distractions while collaborating effectively with healthcare team members.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of six months of experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare concepts, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is required within the first 60 days of employment.
  • If not a CNA, must register as a Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months of hire.
