Patient Care Technician - Oneida Health : Job Details

Patient Care Technician is responsible for delivering direct patient care in collaboration with the RN and performing tasks that do not require nursing judgment or medication administration. This role requires a careful observer and data gatherer with experience in telemetry and EKG. The incumbent will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse, providing basic patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting patient educational needs. Key Responsibilities: Careful observation and accurate documentation of patient information. Basic patient care tasks under the direction of the Charge Nurse. Excellent communication skills, routing messages to the appropriate personnel. Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients in accordance with hospital standards.
