Job Description :
The Patient Care Tech works as an integral part of the patient care team providing routine administrative and clerical duties at and around the nursing station, providing prompt and courteous service to patients, families, physicians, staff and public alike. Helps to monitor and facilitate activities at the nursing station and performs tasks necessary to maintain proper flow of patient care and related documentation. Job Requirements:Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must have basic computer proficiency, ability to use a multi-line phone system. Performs phlebotomy tasks as needed. Certifications: Must successfully complete PCT training during the first month of employment. Must obtain BLS Healthcare Provider upon hire.
