Patient Care Tech - CHI Mercy Health : Job Details

As a Patient Care Tech on PCU you will perform as a Monitor Tech, CNA or in the Unit Coordinator capacilty. Essential Duties:Acts as a receptionist for the unit. Transcribes physician orders. Orders labs, diets and tests for all patients on the unit. Collaborates with the nursing team to expedite the admission, transfer and discharge of patients. Answers the patient call system and directs the nursing team to assist. Maintains staffing records and beeper lists for his/her shift. Initiates, maintains, and breaks down medical chart records for all patients on unit. Performs POCT QCs. Shift: 6 am - 6:30 pm. Schedule: Week 1 Sun, Tue, Wed; Week 2 Tue, Fri, Sat. Qualifications. License/ Certification:CNA issued by the State of Oregon. BLS within 30 days of hire. Education:High School Diploma or GED preferred. Overview.
