Compensation Detail: $48.06 - $72.17 / hour

Schedule: Part Time

Hours/Pay Period: 48

Schedule Details: Typically 12 hour rotating day/night shifts. This position will support both the Albert Lea and Austin Campuses. Must be flexible with scheduling to meet the needs of both sites.

Weekend Schedule: Every 3rd Weekend

International Assignment: No

The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is accountable for the coordination of patient care across the continuum of services.

The PCS supervises all nursing staff and daily clinical and administrative functions, including coordination of patient admissions, staffing management, and providing 24/7 medical center leadership and supervision in the absence of departmental and administrative leadership.

The PCS promotes professional and collaborative relationships among the nursing personnel, medical staff, administrative staff, and patients and families.

Graduate of an associate's or baccalaureate registered nursing program.

Associate's degree graduates must provide documented evidence of program completion of their baccalaureate degree in nursing within 5 years from the last day of the month of their RN start date.

Three years of clinical experience as an RN in an acute care setting required.

Highly professional with excellent leadership, organizational, clinical and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Advanced clinical nursing skills

  • Staffing management
  • Census/bed management
  • Labor/Bargaining unit

License or Certification:

  • Upon Hire: Current Minnesota RN license, Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Within 6 months of hire: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum (TNCC)
