Position Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Care Representative to join our Mail Order Pharmacy team. In this hybrid role, you will support patients by coordinating prescription deliveries, handling inbound and outbound communications, and assisting with pharmacy services. Your role will be essential in ensuring patients receive timely and accurate medications while delivering a high standard of customer care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient outreach, primarily via phone, to schedule medication deliveries
  • Manage incoming calls regarding new patient enrollment, insurance verification, and refill/delivery coordination
  • Support therapy management programs and escalate clinical issues to pharmacists as needed
  • Perform pre-assessments for financial assistance and assist with program enrollment
  • Contact patients, providers, and insurance companies as necessary
  • Resolve pharmacy-related issues with urgency and professionalism
  • Provide accurate responses to inquiries from members, providers, pharmacies, and employer groups
  • Document all interactions per standard operating procedures
  • Research and verify patient information using internal systems
  • Enter and manage data accurately and in a timely manner
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven customer service or call center experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Technically proficient with Microsoft Office and pharmacy-related systems
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and changing priorities
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security
Education and Experience:
  • Required:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Registered Pharmacy Technician, in good standing with applicable State Board of Pharmacy
    • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) via PTCB or ICPT
    • Ability to pass internal Qualified Pharmacy Technician exam within 6 months of hire
