Join Sun River Health, a leading provider of comprehensive primary, preventative, and behavioral health services dedicated to serving all individuals, particularly the underserved and vulnerable communities. We are a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center operating in multiple counties including Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia, and Westchester. We are currently looking for a full-time Patient Care Representative to enhance our supportive team.

The Patient Care Representative is a crucial member of our medical care team, providing patient-centered care and ensuring patients can access services in a friendly and efficient manner. You will use your excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a diverse population while managing various aspects of patient registration and appointment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily reception activities to ensure a smooth patient services process.
  • Communicate effectively with both team members and patients regarding service details.
  • Provide professional and responsive interaction with patients through various communication methods, including phone, in-person, and mail.
  • Handle appointment scheduling, fee collection, and explain service charges clearly to patients.
  • Distribute important materials to patients such as patient satisfaction cards and rights information.
  • Verify patient insurance and apply sliding scale fees as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred (both oral and written).

Pay: $20.00 - $21.88 per hour
