Patient Care Monitor Technician - MidMichigan Health : Job Details

This position will provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients and alert floor staff of any behaviors requiring intervention. Responsibilities (50%) - Maintains visual observation of patient(s) at all times. Verbally redirects patient(s) from engaging in any at risk behaviors. If this is not successful, incumbents will summon floor staff to assist. Provides floor staff with information in a timely fashion regarding patient safety issues, particularly when patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others. Participates in the collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues in accordance with policies and procedures. Collaborates with co?workers to create a safe environment for patients. Seeks assistance with removal of any potential safety hazard from room and reports findings to appropriate staff members.
