These calls involve a wide range of clinical and administrative requests from patients, including appointment scheduling, visit preparation, medication refills and reconciliation, and follow-up care coordination. All minimum standards and performance metrics must be met to remain eligible for remote work. Active MA certification is required for this role.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicate via phone, online chats, emails, and faxes with patients in a professional mannerUse pre-defined clinical protocols to obtain and document required clinical informationIdentify special needs and take the proper steps to ensure patient appointments are scheduled appropriatelyDemonstrate the ability to multitask so that priority items are completed on time each dayAppropriately escalate issues outside of existing protocols to meet the needs of the patientUpdate medical history based on the information provided by the patientFollow all HIPAA and privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information with the patient or their authorized delegatesSchedule appointments and query clinical information from the EMR (e-Clinical Works)Meet performance and service level criteriaWork well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environmentMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)Experience with medical EMR systemsKnowledge of and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA rules and regulationsStrong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team membersPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Previous experience in a Primary Care office settingAthena EMR experienceCOMPETITIVE BENEFIT PACKAGE:Compensation commensurate with experienceMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceShort/Long term disability Insurance401K with employer matchHealth Savings Account optionsPaid Holidays and PTOReferral Programs
