Patient Care Associate/CNA - Mayo Clinic : Job Details

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Associate provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and based on HMNHs policies and procedures. Licensure & Certification. Successful completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant program OR has successfully completed at least the first semester of a RN program. Current BLS provider card. Education. High School graduate, GED or equivalent. Experience. Minimum 6 months acute hospital Nursing Assistant experience preferred. Knowledge & Skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Problem solving skills. Basic computer skills. Patient-focused. Physical Demands Patient Care:Continuous standing/walking and occasional/intermittent sitting. Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and shoulder level to handle/operate medical equipment/devices.
