This posting may be used to fill multiple positions. **This is a multifil position at our Adult Psych, Long Term Care, and Forensic Units with various shifts.** Why does the job exist? Incumbent will provide direct care services to all residents, patients and clients at NMBHI. How does it get done? Incumbent provides basic care and assistance that may include but not limited to, bathing, administering medication, taking vitals as well as observe and report changes to medical staff. Who are the customers? Patients/Residents/Clients Ideal Candidate Ideal candidate will have: Experience working with treatment teams; Experience working in a hospital setting; Experience working with mental ill clients. Minimum Qualification High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience. Working Conditions This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations requiring crisis intervention may be required.
