Patient Attendant, Central Transport (Per Diem) - St. Luke’s University Health Network : Job Details

The Patient attendant transports patients safely to and from the diagnostic areas and patient care areas. Distributes, cleans and manages the flow of oxygen tanks, equipment, wheelchairs, stretchers, rolling and other miscellaneous rolling stock hospital wide. Assists with medical and safety alerts as duties permit. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides transportation service to and from diagnostic areas, i.e., Radiology Department, Cardiology Department, Rehabilitation Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, Clinical Vascular Lab, G. I. Lab and to and from Critical Care Units and Medical/ Surgical Units. Collects, cleans, maintains, distributes and provides necessary documentation to manage the inventory of equipment that is the responsibility of the department. Assists Radiology personnel in lifting patients on and off Radiology tables as duties permit. Replaces empty oxygen cylinders on a daily basis and on an as needed basis.
