Position Summary:

This role is based on The Bronx, New York State. This hybrid role combines business development responsibilities with direct patient advocacy to support the growth and success of interventional psychiatry services. The Patient Advocate will serve as a key patient liaison, responsible for cultivating referral relationships, expanding patient access, and guiding patients through the full treatment journey with compassion, empathy, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, works well in performance-driven environments, has a record of success in sales or business development, and a commitment to facilitating high-quality patient care and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development Responsibilities

- Develop and execute growth plans for target clinics.

- Identify and engage patient referral sources, including psychiatrists, primary care providers, therapists, payors, and hospitals in the community

- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners to ensure consistent patient flow.

- Organize marketing efforts such as webinars, lunch-and-learns, and community events.

- Monitor referral volume, marketing ROI, and patient acquisition trends.

2. Patient Advocacy Responsibilities

- Educate patients and families on treatment eligibility, process, benefits, risks, and alternatives.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients from inquiry through treatment completion.

- Provide education to patients and families regarding Interventional treatment options.

- Assist patients in navigating insurance authorizations and verifying benefits.

- Coordinate intake scheduling, onboarding documentation, medical history, and treatment planning.

- Monitor patient satisfaction and outcomes and escalate clinical or administrative concerns as needed.

- Facilitate patient support throughout treatment, including reminders, emotional check-ins, and coordination with providers.
