Patient Accounts Receivable Billing ManagerSchedule: Full-Time Monday-FridaySalary: $100,000–$110,000/yearLocation: Bethpage, NY (Hybrid Schedule)The Charles Evans Center (CEC Health Care) is a mission-driven nonprofit providing high-quality, integrated health and human services to individuals with complex needs. We are proud to deliver compassionate, community-based care across Nassau County. We operate Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) providing integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and substance use services across four locations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We are currently seeking a Billing Manager to oversee and enhance our revenue cycle operations.This role will serve as the primary point of contact with our third-party billing partner (Solutions4) and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely billing across Articles 28, 31, and 32 using the eClinicalWorks (ECW) system. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day coordination with outsourced billing vendor (Solutions4)
  • Resolve claim denials and outstanding A/R to support timely collections
  • Review and update billing policies and procedures for efficiency and compliance
  • Ensure correct insurance is collected and verified at time of visit
  • Lead regular meetings with front desk supervisor on billing issues
  • Monitor provider credentialing with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans
  • Assist with review and negotiation of payer contracts
  • Maximize coding accuracy and billing under FQHC regulations (Articles 28, 31, 32)
  • Maintain and update charge master and sliding fee schedule
  • Generate billing reports and analytics for CFO review
  • Oversee adjustments, write-offs, and collection efforts as needed
  • Audit ECW mapping to ensure complete and accurate data capture
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certification required (e.g., CCA, CPC-A, AHIMA, or AAPC)
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare billing/revenue cycle
  • Experience with ECW or similar EHR/billing systems preferred
  • Knowledge of FQHC billing structures (PPS under Articles 28, 31, 32)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
