In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doingJob DescriptionA highly visible part time customer service position that is responsible for obtaining surgical and diagnostic authorizations on behalf of HSS and HSS physicians. The Patient Access Specialist is an expert in areas of customer service, registration, insurance, and HSS Standards of Care. The Patient Access Specialist is expected to score in the top 5% of measureable categories within 6 months of hire.ResponsibilitiesObtain authorizations for surgical and radiology proceduresVerify insurance and obtain benefitsCommunicate with physician offices regarding status of authorizationsCollect payments for inpatient and ambulatory proceduresRequirements Bachelor's degree preferred; Diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experienceTwo years in a healthcare or related customer service field A highly visible part time customer service position that is responsible for obtaining surgical and diagnostic authorizations on behalf of HSS and HSS physicians.
