Patient Access Representative (Part time Days) - Admitting - Oklahoma State University Medical Center : Job Details

This is a weekend position, Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 am to 7 pm, working the front desk lobby. Registration Representatives are accountable for directing patients and visitors, collecting monies due for co-pays. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Representatives must have the ability to properly collect, enter, and/or accurately update financial and demographic information into a computer; maintain patient confidentiality; provide clear and concise information to those who request it; be able to handle multiple tasks at one time; and be detail-oriented. The position tends to be fast-paced at times. Representatives are responsible for greeting patients and ensuring all guests entering the lobby areas have a purpose to be in the facility. Individuals must be physically capable of transporting patients and their luggage. Greet patient visitors and monitor traffic flow for appropriate entrance into the facility.
