This role is based in the Emergency Room, where you will use WOW (Workstation on Wheels) carts to register patients and collect copays. You may also rotate to different locations or hospitals depending on staffing needs. Our customer service caregivers deliver what matters most to our patients and their families, ensuring exceptional experiences and making a lasting, positive impact in the community.A caregiver in this role works nights from 10:30 p.m.7:00 a.m.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Utilize WOW (Workstation on Wheels) carts to register patients and collect copays.Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical and financial.Crosstrain to staff all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register.Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training new caregivers.Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma/GEDTwo years of experience in a customer-facing role OR Associate's Degree and one year of experience OR Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders OR completion of course within one yearBasic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systemsPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Customer service or hospitality experienceOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
