Job DescriptionThis is a full-time position working M-F hours could include (7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 7am-5:30pm). Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position. Job Summary: The Patient Access Representative 2 will oversee registration activities to ensure efficient patient flow and department goals are met. You will report to the Manager.Primary Tasks:Establish, update, and correct patient chart information using eligibility guidelines.Check patients in and out, answer phones, deliver messages, and contact patients regarding follow ups and missed appointments.Verify insurance eligibility and assign referrals to the Benefit Coordinator.Complete Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaire for Medicare patients.Educate patients on health insurance, tribal membership, CDIB cards, Affordable Care Act, and VA benefits.Scan documentation in Vista Imaging following policy.Provide guidance and training to lower-level representatives.Help with daily audits on assigned registration staff.Other responsibilities as assigned.Required Education and Experience: Knowledge of HIPAAKnowledge of organization policies, procedures, and servicesExperience using medical terminologyThree [3] years in a medical office settingResponsibilities1.
