The Patient Access Representative (Rep) is the fully cross-functional level of the Patient Access Services (PAS) career path. The PAS Rep performs all Patient Access Services functions as outlined below. The PAS Rep performs all outpatient and inpatient registration functions including hospital cashiering and insurance verification. Ensures that patients meet financial requirements. Provides general information to hospital users, patients and families. Communicates effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service. Provides excellent patient focused customer service. The PAS Rep is highly skilled and works at a fully cross-functional level in all functional areas for PAS Representatives which may include but are not limited to: - Customer Service/ Information Desk - Up-Front Collections/ Cashier - Emergency Department Registration - Outpatient Registration - Outpatient Surgery, Special Procedure, & Cath Lab Registration - Inpatient & Observation Regist...Patient Access, Patient, Customer Service, Healthcare, Registration
