Mercy Joplin is seeking an onsite Patient Access Lead Evenings: Monday- Friday 1:30 pm -10:00 pm The Patient Access Lead serves as a resource to the Supervisor/ Manager by providing expert guidance to caregivers, monitoring assigned area, training and mentoring team members and identifying and implementing workflow improvements. The Patient Access Lead has the knowledge and skills to perform all duties required by their assigned area. Qualifications: Experience: Experience: 3 years' experience with medical terminology, insurance plans, verification of benefits, authorization and pre-determination. Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Other: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, providing clear direction and maintaining professional relationships with caregivers, patients, physicians, hospital staff, and insurance companies.
