Patient Access Intake Representative Sr - Southcoast Health : Job Details

Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, Patient Financial Services, employee will perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization. Ensure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtain accurate patient information. This will ensure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations. Work as clinical liaison between insurance carrier, physician office and clinical personnel within the system. Using critical thinking skills to determine patient liability prior to services rendered. Utilizing the estimate tool and notify patients of their potential liability in accordance with Federal & State regulations and collect payment. Assist with supervision of assigned personnel. Qualifications Associate's Degree in related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Medical Terminology Certificate required.
