Patient Access Coordinator - UnitedHealth Group : Job Details

Coordinates with appropriate parties including clinical and ancillary department representatives, leadership, payer point of contacts, consultants, and others as needed. Focuses on special projects as assigned by department leadership, including account clean-up efforts, data collection and interpretation, or operational reporting. Identifies needs or trends and escalates to leadership. Maintains monthly statistical information and provides to appropriate recipients. Works closely with Coding, HEIS, PFS, and other hospital departments with potential registration issues, striving for resolution. Strong understanding of the multiple applications used and the integration of systems in order to execute tasks and troubleshoot issues as needed. Ability to analyze policies and procedures, and possesses a clear understanding of Patient Access functions. Meets/exceeds productivity and quality standards as outlined by the department.
