Essential Duties:

  • Ensure patient chart are updated timely with current and accurate information.
  • Assures smooth flow of patients from check-in through check-out.
  • Supervises the Patient Access departments: Front Office, Appointment Hub, Medical Records, and Transcription.
  • Understand HIPAA and release of medical information.
  • Conduct department meetings.
  • Stay current with insurance changes and communicate changes as necessary.
  • Attend monthly Leadership Meetings.
  • Coordinates coverage with team leads.
  • Manages the auto attendant phone system.
  • Completes 30-60-90 day new hire onboarding reviews in conjunction with the Manager.
  • Handle situations between patients and staff.
  • Main contact for Allo for the Hunt Groups, after-hours recording, auto attendant, and reporting.
  • Main contact for ClearWave patient intake software

Qualifications:

  • BA degree preferred.
  • Two years experience in insurance claims.
  • 2+ years experience in a supervisory role.
  • 2+ years experience in a medical office.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Current knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
  • Ability to Lead a Team and mentor team leads.
