Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate with 2+ years of experience to join its Intellectual Property team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment handling domestic and international trademark matters, including prosecution, clearance, enforcement, and counseling. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in trademark law and have a passion for delivering strategic legal solutions to clients across various industries.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Conduct and evaluate U.S. and global trademark clearance searches
• Draft identification of goods/services, review specimens, and prepare Statements of Use
• Respond to substantive office actions before the USPTO
• Provide counsel on Madrid Protocol filings
• Conduct trademark enforcement investigations, including drafting cease-and-desist letters and takedown notices
• Negotiate trademark settlement and coexistence agreements
• Draft trademark, copyright, and NIL licenses and assignments
• Provide copyright counseling and handle domain name enforcement, including drafting UDRP complaints
• Clear content for use on social media and in digital marketing campaigns
• Assist with due diligence and corporate transactions related to trademark, copyright, and domain matters

Requirements:

• 2+ years of direct trademark experience, with a focus on clearance, prosecution, and enforcement
• Law firm experience required
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• High level of professionalism in client and colleague interactions
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting

Education:

• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be admitted or eligible for admission in California or New York
