Job Description: Docket Specialist at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP

Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Docket Specialist to join our Intellectual Property Patent Support Unit (PATSU). Under the supervision of the Docket Supervisor, the Docket Specialist will coordinate and maintain all aspects of the patent computerized docket system and will regularly interact with practice group lawyers and staff.

Location and Work Schedule: This position can be based in San Francisco, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), Orange County, Century City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, or Washington D.C., with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule. Flexibility for overtime is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate all areas of the CPI database, including application and docket due dates, and remarks.

Process electronic communications following departmental procedures.

Provide docket, status, and maintenance reports to patent personnel and lawyers.

Experience and Qualifications:

• High school diploma with at least one year of docketing experience or equivalent patent process knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to work under pressure in a collaborative team environment.
