PARTS ADMINPosition Specifics:Department: PartsReports to: Parts ManagerSupervises: NonePurpose:Performs clerical accounting duties including routine and non-recurring calculations, reconciliations, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting processes.Responsibilities:
Enters data into various accounting systems or accounts including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and parts inventoryPrepares various financial reports, such as monthly John Deere SettlementReconciles various accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective actionVerifies accuracy of information used in select accounting transactions such as researching incorrect information, determining the proper accounting treatment, and recommending corrections to the transaction originatorAnalyzes and processes documents after examining for completeness and accuracyCommunicates with others in the organization to answer parts related questions or resolve issues within the parts department, as well as other departments throughout the divisionAssists other co-workers with related tasks as necessarySpecialize in areas such as parts inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or John Deere settlementsExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgetsAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions Ability to use various computer programs specific to the positionHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredDegree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred
